Concord and Portsmouth are more liberal. Just look at the voting in 2008 compared to Manchester and Nashua. If you look at the 2004 election, Kerry took the counties up north, in the west, and on the seacoast. the center of the state and the south central voted more Republican. Most of those that have moved here from MA are conservatives that got fed up with the corrupt liberal politics of that one party state. In my area, Amherst, Bedford, Hollis and Merrimack are more conservative than liberal.

Right. Benson was governor for two years and he is the source of all the problems in the state. Jeanne Shaheen (D) was governor for 6 years before Benson and Lynch (D) has been governor since January 2005. 11 of the past 13 years we have had a Democrat as governor and somehow the state's problems are due to a guy that was governor for 2 years.

BTW, I respect Benson for starting Cabletron and growing it to a significant business and employer than John Lynch who inherited his family business.

I do not agree that is still true for Hollis. When we returned here in 07 it was about 50/50 but I am fairly certain the Dem(progressives, to be specific) population has grown.

Our schools are aggressively indoctrinating and numerous grads, even from traditional families have been brainwashed. That could have something to do with it.

Also, Hollis Dems hold anonymous fundraising events - even in public town venues - 'neighborhood yard sale!' instead of 'Hollis Democrats yard sale!'.

Most conservative area's are in the South And Eastern parts of the state. Since they are more traditional conservatives, they are more Libertarian. I think Belknap County is perhaps the most conservative in the state.

I agree, Belknap County, New Hampshire voted most for our President Donald J. Trump and I'm sure will play a hand in turning NH red this November

Ever since Trump came along, the more affluent, and educated towns seem to lean heavily blue. This is true in MA and CT, too. This wasn't the case 30 years ago.

Lightbulb Watch the pre-election events calendars

I like the way New Hampshire has things set up, with each town having control over taxes and zoning/enforcement, but statewide rules (e.g. preemption) limiting how much each town can take control over your life (beyond jacking up your property taxes).

Look for where the NHGOP holds public meetings.

With the primaries and the election coming up, you should start to see "meet the candidate" events appear on local calendars, usually these will be hosted in "friendly" towns with a strong conservative population.

Also could look at the 2018 election results here: http://nh.electionstats.com/
