I am looking to move to either Weehawken, Secaucus, West New York, or Downtown JC by September 1st. I have been using Craigslist to search in these areas, but I wanted to find something else to use as a resource also. I was thinking maybe there is another website or maybe these cites/towns have their own classifieds paper or something.

I was finding some driving through Weehawken, but my car needs fixed now so for the moment I have to rely solely on the internet.

In Weehawken, walk around the neighborhoods. Most of the town's available apartments are located in owner-occupied multifamily homes. Many times, vacancies are advertised by a sign on the front porch and aren't listed on the internet. Also check out the Weehawken Reporter weekly newspaper for apartment ads that don’t make it to craigslist.

I'm going to check out that paper. Thank you.

Default Call a Local Real Estate Agency

As home sales droop, many owners are listing their homes for rent through their realtors. Call a local agency for suggestions. You can also visit Realtor.com -- it offers a rent option, next to the buy option. You can search by area, monthly rent, number of bedrooms, baths, etc. Great complement to CL, especially in small markets. Good luck!
