I just moved to Warren, NJ. Absolutely love my new apartment but the commute is just sucking recently. Yesterday there was bad traffic on the truck route of 1-9 leading up to the Pulaski Skyway and then the Pulaski Skyway was jammed up halfway past Tonelle Ave (rather typical for a Monday.)

Last night there was traffic around Newark Airport where they were doing the construction on the 78 express lanes. Not nearly as bad as the inbound but there would have been no traffic if there was no construction. Only one express lane is open for majority of the day, with 3 of the 4 local lanes open.

Today was even worse. There was a MAJOR traffic jam on 78 the started in Summit and went all the way to around Newark Airport. I ended up taking Route 22 to 1-9 and then Pulaski which saved me some time but I got caught in another ****show around Glenside Ave in Summit (FIX THIS PLZ!!!)

My question is WHY are they doing more construction on route 78 when they completed express lane rennovations in 2006-2007? It just seems completely random and useless. There seemed to be nothing wrong with 78 at most time of the day and now it's a complete disaster.
