We are from Pa. We vacation in the Wildwoods every year and enjoy it. I'd like to explore some other beaches for a change of scenery. What else is good. Where are jrsys best beaches, best waves ect. Or is Wildwood the best? I have two kids with me BTW. Thanx

I would say that Ocean City and Long Beach Island are going to be your best bets. Seaside Park (not Heights) is also good. You get a nice, upscale town and very wide beaches, and the boardwalk in Seaside Heights is next door.

Though I'm an out-of-stater, I visit NJ every summer since most of my family lives there. I've been to Manasquan the past two summers and find the beaches absolutely beautiful.

Long Beach Island is great, as are the towns between Belmar and Point Pleasant, for the most part.

I'd go with Lavallette during the day, and Seside Heights at night.
Seaside isn't bad if you're under the age of 25, just don't associate yourself with the nut cases and you should have a great time. Not everyone there is trash (there's a lot) but it's mainly normal young adults just looking to have a good time. (there's a very diverse crowd on the boardwalk)
Maybe you can catch a movie on the beach if you are there on the right day

People from Philly seem to go to Avalon a lot. I'd also recommend Cape May. A small part of me wants to tell you to stay in your own state until you learn how to drive.

Two kids..... new family.... looking for cheap fun ..... well you've been there and one that.... and that's still what you'll get at the WILDWOOD beach...... remember first ..... the beaches are FREEEEEEEE... can't go wrong there..... Boardwalk... know the kids love that.... motel rates..... cheaper than the other beaches listed.... if you've got the $$$$ i'd try out the other spots... fam of 4 WILDWOOD is still the best for your $$$$

If you want to stick with the South Jersey beaches, Ocean City is great for kids.
