Hello,

My husband and I will be moving to the area next year. Niether of us have ever been there before and know nothing about the area. We have heard that taxes are very high. We are moving from Texas where there is no state tax and property taxes are relatively low. My husband will be working out of Egg Harbor. He doesn't mind commuting an 45-hour to live in a nice place.

Is it better to live in Philly or New Jersey to get the best of everything i.e schools, nice communities, average property taxes? We want a nice upper middleclass neighborhood with young famlies. Our kids are young now, but school is important. I fell in love with the pictures of Haddonfield and read that they have great schools, but when I saw the home prices as well as the high property taxes it is just a dream for me now. Are there any other nice cozy towns to live in with good people, family oriented, good schools?

Any advice would be greatly appreciated! We are so excited about moving out there!!
