I will be relocating to New Jersey from Connecticut next month, and is in the process of finding apts. Which web site do people use to search listings online ? Craig's list?

Thanks much in advance. Any suggestions will be highly appreciated.

I used craiglist and rent.com when searching last fall. Really though, after you have a few listings in hand there is no substitute for dedicating a day or two to exploring the neighborhoods and apartments you're interested in.

You could use Realtor.com, NJBestRent.com, Move.com

I'll add apartments.com to the list

Also wherever you go, I'd crosscheck it with apartmentratings.com to see if anyone has posted any reviews of the place.

Good luck

thank you guys for your helpful replies. I am looking for a place in Clark/Cranford/Westfield/Edison area that is close to Rahway. and when checked apartmentratings.com, it looks like NONE of the apartments has good ratings. Most of the apts have less than 40% approval rate...... Some tenants even complain about rats/bed bugs... Is Jersey really such a horrible place to live in? Sigh..

Well, keep in mind that people usually aren't motivated to go post positive reviews about apartments online.
