Trust me--you did NOT get "every single Jewish holiday off in school" when you were growing up. The Jewish Calendar includes an almost incredible number of days for special religious observance, and you most likely were given days off only on some of the more significant Jewish holidays.
Thank you.
You only got off from Yom Kippur and Rosh Hassanah.
There are way more Jewish holidays than these two.
Christians get off two weeks during Christmas/New Year, and one week for Easter, which usually falls during easter week.

Yeah, but it's not a given like December Holiday. I guess it depends on the town. I think our town tries to deliberately pick other random weeks that don't have Easter or Passover in them.
We know because we've been here a while. Do a search on posts from "River Edge". That poster comes back under different names, but the "voice" is the same, as are the subjects of its posts.
And the best thing we could do is let this thread slide away off the 1st page into obsurity
Christians don't get Easter Week off. Not even in the public schools.

So, perhaps it would have been more accurate if you stated that some Christians don't get Easter Week off from school.
Few things in life are absolutes, including this issue.
