Once again Nexus, you have posted good pictures of another community in NJ. Good work! Anyway, I just have one quick question...Are pictures 18-21 photos of downtown Rahway? If so, where is everybody? What time of day were you there? It looked so deserted for a city that supossed is to be on the upswing.

That part of town has lost alot of businesses recently some due to there own stupid practices and some due to economy. A Few developers with plans that would add the spark to the Downtown fled there projects after breaking ground , I was also there before lunch time and it was rather cold. During the summer time or later spring more people tend to walk downtown...
Thank you for the nice pictures! Was the Rahway train station flooded during Hurricane Irene? Is there any town with train station which is safe from flooding? I rent in Bayonne and I evacuated during the hurricane, but ironically, there was no flooding on my street, no loss of power, and we could still take the light rail to work while many train stations and PATH stations were flooded. Any suggestion? Thanks a lot...

No , the Northeast Corridor was one of the few lines not damaged , Rahway sits above sea level , so any flooding is brief....Bayonne is low to the sea , and flooding could be worse. I think they overreacted during Irene....
