Hi Guys
I was working in Jersey city till now but recently got an offer in Princeton(very near to ETS)
Wanted to know how much time it takes to commute from Edison(near MetroPark)
I went using US-1 and it took 50 minutes to an hour
Saw in the google maps that NJ-27 is one more route but I have to drive 2-3 miles before entering the highway but no lights. How is the traffic during peak times(morning 8 AM and evening 5 PM). Would it take lesser time or more than US-1
Alos, if I decide to go by train, I see that metropark to Princeton is just 20 min, but there is no way to reach ETS. Are there are buses of shared cabs at Princeton junction station?
Congrats on your job offer. Route 27 will take MUCH longer than Route 1. Traffic is very heavy normally and extremely heavy during rush hour. The road is simply can not handle the amount of volume it carries.
I live just outside of South Brunswick and it takes my neighbor 25 - 30 minutes to drive to Princeton Univ (which is less than 10 miles away).
Had to look that up, Rosedale Rd, you might take advantage of back roads to back roads to get there, seriously. I did that when I worked in the area. Almost no lights and very little traffic.
If you're referring to ETS at 660 Rosedale Road than it appears there is no bus within one mile of that address.
You can check for yourself if there is a bus that stops near your job by going to www.njtransit.com and click on "schedules and fares" in the upper left-hand corner, and then click on "service near a location."
There is a NJ Transit station in Princeton Junction. If you're going to Princeton itself than there is the Dinky. A small train that runs between Princetion Junction and the town of Princeton. It stops right by the campus.
There are always taxis at the Dinky in Princeton. Taxis are not cheap.
You can check Tiger Transit which are buses run by Princeton University and are free for anyone to use.
