Hello I am relocating from NY to Camden County NJ for a Job trying to find a better area to live in to rent a apartment. That's safe as well as commutable to and from work. I will be working in Center city PA as well as traveling back to NY from time to time for family. I am a single woman so safety is a big concern. Living in Camden NJ County scares me since I know nothing about it just the things I read on Camden NJ. So can someone give me feed back on those areas. I checked out apts in cherry hill called the colonial apts and Lindenwold call the Landings at the lakes apts are any of these good choices and areas? Thanks anyone that has information.

You'll probably get more of a response, and responses from people who live locally to the CH area if you post your question on the Southern NJ Philly suburbs forum here: http://www.city-data.com/forum/new-j...-philadelphia/ It's a sub forum of the NJ City Data Forum.

At one point - 20 years ago to be exact - I looked at Cherry Hill and Lindenwold and found the former to be nicer and more expensive but the latter to be OK and a good alternative for the money.

Now I would never recommend Lindenwold. It has seriously declined by all measures.
