LOL...that would be a new one. I've seen runs on the store for snow but not cold. I suppose your battery could die and you'd be stranded... I'm just concerned with having enough wood in the house so I'm going to stock my basement tonight. Walking out to the woodshed tomorrow morning might require ice skates

Beautiful T shirt weather outside today. Anyone else went outside without a jacket besides me.

Thanks, all that extra milk in my fridge is about to go sour. Time to load up!

Rapid cool down. 18 F drop between morning temperatures (54 F) and temperatures now (37 F).

Tonight might go into the negatives once again for some areas in NW NJ.

During the last cold snap (Friday night into Saturday morning) I recorded 0°F in High Bridge. That's the coldest temperature we've seen in the now six winters we've been in our house. It has definitely shown me where some of the areas of improvement in air sealing and insulation on the house need to be. It will be interesting to see if we hit negative temperatures tonight or Tuesday night. Weather.com says we'll hover around 2-3°F.

Today around noon would have been a nice time for surfing with all that wind.

I got home early Sat. morning about 1 AM. When I got in the car the indicator said -3 below.

I'd love to know what the temperature was up in the Kittatinnies around 3:00 or 4:00 a.m. on Friday night. Unfortunately I can't find any weather data up there. You'd think there would be some since it's mostly federal land and maybe NOAA stuck a weather station there somewhere.
