Hey everyone. I'm a bit new to the forums here (I mainly lurked in the past) so I signed up here for advice due to a recent move.

I'm currently living in Kenilworth less than 5 minutes of walking from the parkway and I'm in need of employment. Unfortunately, I'm not really aware of what places are considered "bad" in your books. So, out of this list, could you tell me if any of these places are alright to at least work in:

Roselle Park
Roselle
Union
Clark
Springfield
Hillside
Elizabeth
Irvington
Rahway
S Orange
Scotch Plains

There are other towns around that I know are okay (Cranford, Westfield, etc.), but these I either have no idea what they're like or I do not know where the good neighborhoods are.

Please help. Very much appreciated

Well, what is it that you do and are there companies that hire people who do what you do in these locations?

If, for example, you were a barber, Cranford would be a great location for you to work in, due to all of the barber shops and salons. However, if you were a, say, a stockbroker, you might be out of luck, as there's no local branch of Charles Schwab or its equivalent.

If you're willing to do anything, then just find something in Kenilworth. Aside from Irvington, none of those places are "bad."

Retail, customer service, etc. Anything that's considered entry level. Aside from warehouse experience working at FedEx, I don't have much.

Your right next to Route 22, go out there and start dropping off applications at different stores.

I wouldn't be so concerned about the place where you work. No place you listed (with the exception of Irvington) is so bad that you should avoid a job there.

I would avoid Irvington for sure, and maybe some parts of Elizabeth.
