Maybe Camden needs some public demonstrations of the "Hands up don't shoot" style.

Think what the toll would be if NJ didn't have the strictest gun laws in the country!!!!

Newark was noted for a murder a month since the 60s, that stat is the good old days with more souls than ever taking flight from the streets that surround newark's airport.

Legislators and voters they placate with ineffective laws and illegal drug users bring you the violence, with their compliments.

The predictability as to where the next shooting will occur is confidently predictable. Put pins in the map of Nj and see where they cluster. You'd figure with a high degree of predictability the violance could at least be mitigated.

Ha ha ha! NJ: a state where you can be arrested for stopping to taking a wee on the way to the range.

Easy now , your making too much sense and the liberal extremism in NJ won't like that .

Say what you want about NJ's gun laws, but a lot of illegal guns come to trenton and camden through the I-95 corridor from bordering states that have lax gun laws. one of the biggest locations for straw purchases is a gun shop in philly.

now, that said, the problems that trenton, newark, and camden face go well beyond anything that gun control laws could feasibly address.

So then why do all the extreme liberals keep thinking more strict gun laws in NJ will solve the problems when yet the problem is not NJ but the outer states . Better yet how come these criminals and gangbangers keep going in and out of jail like a rollercoaster ?

NJ needs to bring a strong swat team like force into these bad neighborhoods , working 24/7 cleaning up the trash , all rotating 8 hour shifts. But I'm sure the mayors have some connections to the gangsters in these towns like previous history has shown.

Thanks for your thoughtful advice for solving NJ's issues. Or did you just show up when you heard a juicy gun discussion?

I'm not sure who the "extreme liberals" are that you're referring to. Most times i see discussion about gun control in states like NJ, the complain is that the other states need better controls, or there needs to be a federal law.

i'm not sure how much more the state of NJ could do that would be productive.

as for "these criminals and gangbangers" - who's going in and out of jail? are you just speaking in generalities, or do you have specific incidents you're referring to?

those towns have a ton of issues to deal with. this is just one of dozens of problems. it's a vicious cycle too.
