Regarding Dolezal, beyond all the media hype (which is annoying as hell), is the fact that this woman felt the need to become someone else. That is a concern. I would like to think there is more stability in such a position of power. How can you help others if you can't face yourself? Do you think you'd gain as much trust if you suddenly appeared in blackface?

That is all true, but what makes this situation all the more bizarre, is that--even though she stated yesterday that she "identifies as black"--when she was a student at Howard University (a historically black college), she attempted to sue the college administration for discriminating against her as a white person!
no problem with someone wanting to and identifying as black (or whatever), but this lady is just nuts. if she just owned up to "i am white but wish i was black and live my life ID'ing as a black woman" this would all be history but she continues to say bat**** crazy things like there is no proof her parents ARE her parents, some black guy is her father, she doesnt understand simple questions like "are you black", chooses when its ok to be white (like the howard lawsuit). shes just nuts and the media should move on....must be a slow month
