Rockaway borough vs Rockaway Township schools. (White Meadow Lake: home search, middle schools, rating)

Hello City data,

Thank you for your help, this forum has been very helpful towards my home search. I have narrowed my search down to Rockaway, both the township and borough. I know that both the White Meadow Lake section of Rockaway Township and Rockaway borough attend Morris Hills high school which seems like a good high school. However, the Great Schools rating for elementary and middle schools are significantly worse in Rockaway borough. If schools are a priority, should I stay out of Rockaway borough? Or are the schools relatively similar to Rockaway township?
