Looking for a place in NJ that isn't any further south of JC and not north of Paramus. Budget is around 1700. I am open to the weehawken area as well. Problem is I can't find anything affordable without going into Union City or West New York. I would prefer an apartment complex kind of living in order to meet more younger people. Any suggestions for younger towns or complexes with a younger crowd?

Any suggestions are greatly appreciated!

Does Harrison/South Orange have much of a downtown? I love the Weehawken area because I can get into Hoboken/NYC so quickly but struggling to find a place I can afford.

How many BR? Do you need any amenities? Because at $1700 I can find places in Upper Manhattan. NJ shouldn't be that difficult.

Have you tried Montclair? That's really the only other town with a downtown area aside from the places already mentioned. I would think you could find something for $1700 but I have never looked personally.
