Absecon (White Horse Pike) has a lot of hotels and motels, from reasonable hotel chains (like Holiday Inn Express) to downscale motels.
In general, hotel/motel rooms were cheaper in Absecon than in say Egg Harbor Twp or other parts of Atlantic County. I believe the reason is the oversupply of rooms in Absecon. Even comparing say Days Inn in Egg Harbor vs. a comparable Quality Inn in Absecon - the Absecon hotel would be easily $15-30 per night, cheaper just because it had to compete with so many more hotels.
What is it like living in Atlantic City? Has anyone ever been to the Irish Pub on St. James Place? I wanna go...
