Does anyone know if Prudential Insurance in Newark, NJ has parking for employees and vendors? Or are they expected to pay for parking at one of the garages?

Pru does have parking garages for employees that are free, but not sure about vendors. If you are going there for an interview make sure that they provide you with the parking details ahead of time.

I'll add that visitors have to register their vehicle ahead of time with license plate. Your point of contact at Pru should be able to assist. Otherwise you will have to search for a paid lot which isn't fun in Newark especially during rush hour.

Thanks. I'm asking for a relative.

Do you know anything about the bus service from the train stations to Prudential Insurance? I was looking at the schedules and it looks like it might be useful, but I don't know where the bus stops and if you end up doing a lot of walking to get to Prudential Insurance.

Unfortunately I don't have much insight on that. It might not be too bad of a walk from Newark Penn Station.

The walk from Newark Penn to Prudential is about 10 - 15 minutes (depending on how fast/slow you walk).

There is a lightrail from Newark Penn to Military Park -- It's MAYBE a two-minute ride (if that). When you get off at Military Park, you'll still need to walk over to Prudential, but it's just across the street (and, over).

Yes, Prudential has its own parking

Newark Penn Station is a 10-15min walk to Prudential (depending on traffic).

The light rail is every 6 minutes, & takes a minute to get from Newark Penn to Military Park

madsheb pretty much summed it up

Keep in mind that Prudential has several buildings in different parts of downtown, and the parking situation varies among the different buildings. In some cases you may need to park at the Gateway garage and take a shuttle to your building.
