We used Quicken Loans, all online. Lightening fast, best rate and the most organized and professional aspect of our purchase by far.

We had a conventional close time so our situation was different. Contact them and ask. It's not a podunk local credit union -- you'll have an answer quickly.

I've not heard of anyone closing in a week, unless you were transferring an existing mortgage over. Also, the jumbo loans take a little more scrutiny. I used Michael Hudak from Chase for my most recent purchase--amazing experience. Could not be happier with my rate, fees, or the experience. The loan officer and processor are on top of everything and respond pretty much all waking hours. For my loan, they were promising 3 weeks start to end, and said they have closed as quickly as two weeks before, but that's not a promise.

Are jumbo loans still a thing ?
I thought they went away, along with bridge loans...
