I live in Central Jersey (Sayreville-Old Bridge-Edison area) and I have good access to NJ Transit with bus service and the North Jersey Coast Line.

However, which suburb in Central and North Jersey has the best access to New York City based on direct service and good home value?

How do you define good access to New York City and good home value? Where in NYC? Without more info you won’t get any meaningful answers.

What I mean is home value that is not too expensive and not too cheap, but reasonable. Good, direct access to NYC.

What's reasonable though, half a million? Two million? You gotta put some real numbers on this.

"Best access," for example, means what, just a direct line that takes 90 minutes or a train involving a transfer that takes an hour?

Half a million would be my estimate.

It doesn’t sound like he’s asking because he’s moving. It’s just a slow day at work

The NJ home market is economically efficient. If your preferences are the same as everyone else's, there are no bargains and few overpriced areas.
