The Berkshires of Mass have some great hiking and easy parking for all of it . Mt Greylock is a great place to go .

I forget what the area is called, but there are a lot of trails up north in the wildlife reserve off of route 15. When I go especially during the week, I hardly run into anyone else.

When I need some quiet time, sometimes I drop the top and go for a ride along the PA side of Delaware river... river rd. There are a few abandoned homesteads along there that I find very peaceful... not really hiking trail though.
