Just be glad that you don't have to drive through Connecticut.
Whenever I drive through the stultifyingly colorless, boring, and congested state of CT, all I can think of is... How soon before I can get out of CT, and get to my destination in MA, or NH, or ME?
My niece lived in Providence, RI, then New Bedford MA. I drove to see her a few times, and CT was most of the trip.
Now she's closer to Boston. Haven't been to see her there yet.
People are stressed in America...period...if you live a certain lifestyle. I've seen the people who try to keep up with the "high rollers" get sucked into financial stress, but most of us don't care about what the other neighborhood has, we just want whats best for our families. If anything, theres an air of confidence here and a grit; neighborhoods have pride, wealthy and unwealthy alike, being connected to New York City and Philly have it's stresses, but definitely more advantages than stresses; all walks of life and all cultures are here in New Jersey and certain times of the year, it can get contentious, but no more than any other place. Wisdom of your environment, living right, managing your finances average to good limits that stress...
Not all studies are accurate; I have never seen more stressed out people than when I lived in Atlanta...
