I am planning to buy in Wayne, NJ as I find it affordable and with a bit of a hustle, commutable to NYC as well. Still on the fence and looking thought. But did want to get some information on availability of baby sitters in the hill district area. I have 2 year old and planning to put him in day care. Since both the wife and I work in NYC, we are not sure if we will be always on time to pick the child in the evening, and to be safe, wanted to hire a part-time nanny/ baby sitter. Any one has experience/ knows/ can recommend baby sitters in Wayne?
When you get into town join moms of Wayne on Facebook and Wayne parents confidential. Ask on there and you’ll have more recommendations than you know what to do with.
You’re welcome! We’ve been in Wayne for 6 years and love it. Commute to the city everyday but my wife stays at home so no childcare recommendations.
I see. How do you commute? Bus/ Train? We are looking at the townhomes built by Grandover Pointe over the Hamburg turnpike. The commute from there is good, but so close to turnpike is a not so great.
I take the bus from the transit center. Some days are better than others. If you can leave before 7 the way in is a breeze. Anything after gets dicey. The way home is pretty consistent of 45 mins-1hr.
