I am in the process of purchasing a home. This would be my first home purchase. I work in NYC, currently live in Rockland County, and I am trying to find an affordable location that I would be able to settle down with my partner, and raise a family. We found a home we love located in Monroe, near Round Lake. Whenever I get good reviews about the area, they are followed back with negative reviews. I am looking for some concrete information and recommendations. Monroe is the furthers we would move to make my commute longer, but we have not found success in Rockland County.

don't move to Monroe--trust me
Grew up in that town, and it is a far cry from what it used to be
Look into Warwick or Cornwall if you want Orange County
Don't move to Monroe, Harriman, CV, or Highland Mills--- you'll regret it
