Hi all,

Husband and I will be settling into Cambridge Heights area of Nutley with our son who turns 2 later this year. We are coming from NYC and will need to enroll the little guy in daycare.

Does anyone have any recommendations for daycare facilities that can do a full day (8am to 5pm) that would be worth touring?

I did see there’s a Learning Experience in Lyndhurst and we hear good things about that franchise so curious if anyone has had experience there. I also hear good things about the Community School but not sure if it meets our needs.

That said, in terms of what we are looking for (aside from a safe, welcoming environment):
(1) Our current daycare offers milk + a variety of food/snacks (we don’t need to send him in with outside food, just bottles or cups) so ideally would be great to find a place that does the same near our new home.
(2) Current daycare also uses the Tadpoles app to send pics and updates; we appreciate seeing his smiling face during the day ☺️

Thanks in advance!

Try Montessori School of East Rutherford at Boiling Springs. Highly recommended

Check out Montessori Minds on 617 Washington Ave. We used them 5 years ago when they were still Ladybug Montessori. Since then the original owner Miss Mary left and sold the business to her assistant Miss Yadira. I believe they should still have most of the same staff though.

We toured almost every daycare in the area before we ended up there. It's located in a 2 family house. The daycare is on the first floor. From the outside it doesn't look like much so it was the last pace we looked at. We were impressed with how the kids and staff interacted. We could see that the staff genuinely liked being with the kids. We had our daughter with them for 2 years and were very happy with their services.
