Hasbrouck Heights sounds good, it has both single and multiple family. Little Ferry too, but has a lot of multi. Im naming towns that arent pricey because most towns with a majority of single family are pricey.

Also South Hackensack but there isnt much of a population to have much to choose from. And maybe Paramus.

this is a decent "example"

The Radburn section of Fairlawn has cute homes. Also a nice sense of community - good school (elementary anyway) and neighborhood pool and playground. By far one of the easiest commutes into the city - depending on where you are you may be able to walk to the train and it's a straight shot into the city.

The small homes (most are 3 bedroom) on the streets off Kinderkamack Road (close to the middle school) aren't in the flood plain. It's actually a great location... walkable to the town and commuter train. There is a flood plain in Hillsdale, but it's in a different section.

yes I know the ones your talking about I lived on Large ave, right off Kinderk. road for years. Thanks for reminding me. I personally like Harrington Park better if there was a small home in my price range. Hillsdale has changes so much!!

Thanks springcheer and stevemorse for the flood plain info. I had almost forgotten to watch out for those.

Would anybody be knowing the local newspapers or website which lists FSBO for these areas like Hillsdale, Harrington Park, Waldwick, Fairlawn and similar areas?
