Current Price of Home Heating Oil

I thought this thread could be, where people can get some good ideas and helpful hints, to help them through the winter.

Listing Oil companies with good deals is a plus.

A SPECIAL blessing to everyone, who is forced to heat their homes with oil.

I hope the state can help you out.

I am going to go around with a smoke pen and caulk windows, outlets, and air vents.

I also re-did the duct work in my house, sealing everywhere with duct mastic. Made a huge difference.

Thanks Joe!! I hope, we don't get a cold winter.

Sussex County is the cold spot in New Jersey. Twenty-one years ago, on October 8th 1987, the Sussex-Wantage area had 8 inches of snow. The last few years, we had it easy...

Great idea ProudCap!

I've been replacing weatherstripping, locking windows shut, re-caulking windows, I'll be replacing attic insulation, and my favorite easy one - closing the bedroom door at night. Keeps the heat in the room quite nicely

My favorite is to open the shades on the side of the house that the sun shines on and close them when the sun goes down. It's great to see oil prices dropping. Hopefully WE see the break and not the wholesalers and retailers. It annoys me to see gas at 260 and oil at 63 a gallon. Last time it was at this level gas was 2 bucks a gallon. What about us the little guy.
