Ok, so I have been shopping car insurance today and Allstate came in low...really low.

I currently have Travelers and they increased my premium by 200 for six months (no accidents, no moving violations, no road rage, no driving while naked tickets).

After seeing this, I called Allstate and they are 600 for the six months with BETTER coverage. Now, does anyone here have Allstate? Is this just a introductory scam or did they get that cheap?

Did you compare with State Farm? I called both and State Farm was cheaper for me. Just another company you can try.

I've been insured with Allstate for years and have never had a problem. Had an accident several years ago(Not My Fault), NY driver caused it and got my claim handled pretty quickly. Before Allstate I was with State Farm.

I've had Allstate for 15 years and can't say enough nice things about them. When I needed them, they couldn't have been better. I had one home break in and one Auto accident. They have lowered my premiums ON THEIR OWN!!!!! Really. I've had them in N.J., Md. and N.C. Great in all three states.

I've had Allstate for 20 years, no complaints here. I have them for my homeowners also. I have a really nice agent and get great personal service.

Have Allstate for over 20 years. No problems my premiums are $1,100 per year for two cars. Check out their "accident forgiveness" program. Great you can actually lower your deductible $100 ever six months accident free and get a check back too. And if you use homeowners too, get discount for multi policies.

I had Allstate and found them to be one of the most expensive, if not the expensive. Dropped them when I could and never went back to them.

I had Prudential for the first 10 years I was driving, and when I got divorced, they wouldn't give me a separate policy, despite the fact that I had no tickets, accidents, etc.- I never cost them a dime. So, pissed off, I headed to the local Allstate agent's office, got approved on the spot, and was paying about 20% less that I was previously. We've had Allstate ever since for both home and auto, and have been completely satisfied- our rates have stayed consistent (dropping as we got older, actually), and any claims/issues have been handled with no problem.

Allstate has been good to me for the most part. I had one billing issue in the beginning ( I wanted to pay the bill 2 times a year and they were billing me monthly). I use them for home owners and car insurance and found them cheapest.

Every insurance company caters to different types of clients. One might be better for younger people, the other for older... one for sports cars and the other for mini vans.

Read the policy, understand your coverage and deductible and choose the best coverage for the cost.
