I'm plan on moving to Monroe Township in Middlesex County, and I have a few questions:

1. What is the best bus to take to and from the Port Authority? I am moving to the Mill Lake Section.
2. Is there an alternate way of getting to the city or Staten Island besides the Turnpike?
3. What are the best gyms in the Monroe/Old Bridge/Spotswood/ East Brunswick area? I could use some suggestions. Please don't recommend Bally's because I can't stand them (I have my reasons)

Thanx

Thanx for the info. I picked Monroe because of its more isolated "feel", though its not exactly in the sticks--it's surrounded by lots of affluent towns, major thoroughfares, and of course malls.

I love going to the gym, so if anyone has any other suggestions i'm all ears. But thanx for the reco.

I can't help with the buses, but there is a NY Sports Club on Rt. 516 in Old Bridge, and another one on Cranbury Road in East Brunswick. There is also a Workout World on Rt. 18 behind the Denny's & IHop.
