Hi All,

Recently had a friend tell me about Boonton Twsp area, I only thought of Boonton town and not that there were 2 distinct Boontons, can anyone in the area or living in the township tell me more;

How are the k-8 schools and the high school?
Taxes and/or tax rate/
Things to do, community, things for kids?
Overall area?

If anyone can tell me good and bad i would greatly appreciate it!

I don't have long but I will say it's a fantastic place to live and raise kids. Schools are amazing. BT has it's own K-8 school and then the kids go to Mountain Lakes High School (ranked 4 in NJ this year). Taxes are terrible like the rest of NJ. Loads of things for the kids to do...the rec department is great....all the usual T-Ball, Soccer, Tennis etc. Lots of activities are either with the kids from ML or ML and Boonton. If your kids are younger (pre-school) there is an active Moms group that does stuff year round. DM me if you need more info.

Really pretty area. UKOK covered most of the bases- one of the great things about Boonton Twp is that the kids go to MLHS instead of Boonton High- major bonus.

You are close to two charming downtowns (Denville and Boonton) have easy access to a lot of main roads (80, 287, 46) and you have lots of stuff to do in terms of outdoor stuff (The Tourne, etc).

I'm from the area so I might be a little biased, but I think its a great part of NJ.
