New Jersey's Attorney General is appointed by our governor. Should it become an elected position?

I feel it should be an elected official. Having the governor appoint the position gives the governor to much power for covering up corruption.

Not a good idea to make it an elected position. As bad as the choices we have seen, look at the choices we as the voters keep making. The majority of voters cast their votes based on 30 second television commercials and five-second sound bites.

Do you remember Governor Jon Corzine's first appointed Attorney General? She resigned because of her own corruption.

Default you have a career as a pollster

Your question was very clear, quite unlike how it was phrased on the public question put before voters.

Other.

Why add even more expensive layers of state bureaucracy to NJ. That's part of of our problem.

What we need is for Obama to appoint a strong and determined US Prosecutor like our previous one.

Installing another state hack won't do us any good.
