Hi guys

Does anybody know what is celebrated this day???

Because I'm Mexican and I don't understand why is celebrated this day like a National Hollyday on USA

Because in my country is only celebrated in one place the State of Puebla, not in all the country (like here)

I was wondering, maybe is an excuse for not going to work

We americans love an excuse to get drunk. In NJ (hoboken at least), we even have 2 st. patrick's days.

The beer companies have made this into the American "Mexican" Holiday. I am not Mexican but from what I gather nobody in Mexico really celebrates this much. I know is has something to do with a battle vs France. Anyways the beer companies have played this up to sell beer to the "gringos" in the name of Mexico.

Humm... no thanks! Have you ever noticed that with all mexican beers, the level in each bottle is typically at a different height? Makes ya wonder what they fill it with... recycled beer perhaps

Celebrating the holiday makes liberals feel good. Every minority deserves a day of recognition. Be thankful it's a day of celebration rather than a day of hearing of all the horrific autrocities the white man committed when "stealing" mexico from honest and peaceful natives.
