URGENT: Is there a train that goes from North Jersey to D.C. (Newark: prices)

tomorrow, my family is going to d.c. we are supposed to drive but we might take the train if there is one that goes from northern new jersey to d.c. .... i'm from bergen county and i'm just wondering if there's a station (The one in Newark perhaps ??) we can go to to get on the train that will bring us to D.C. ?? will it be expensive? thanks

Looks like ticket prices range from $72 to $221 depending on time of departure and whether you take an express or regional train. Length of travel time ranges from 2.5 to 3.25 hours.
