JERSEY CITY, NEW JERSEY - Less than a week after a wild shootout in Jersey City left one police officer on life support and four others injured, police were again fired at early Tuesday.
Police say three suspects were involved in an armed robbery at around 4 a.m.
Cops spotted the suspects and went on pursuit along Communipaw Avenue. Police say the suspects reached a bar at a dead end that was closed.
Before jumping back into the car, one of the suspects opened fire at the police officers. At least nine shots were fired, according to police.
No one was hit, but as the suspect drove away he rammed his car into a police cruiser injuring four Jersey City police officers.
Two guns were found.
All three suspects were arrested.
The police officers are expected to recover.

You said the shooting was Downtown, but this was not downtown. The shooting was down on Communipaw, in the ghetto.

R.I.P. the two men. Also, R.I.P. for the Newark shootings. At least, this third shooting incident left no one dead. >.< My gosh.. What's going on down there!? Did some people decide that it's people hunting season or what?
Both communities need to stand up strong and fight this violence...somehow. Fear can only lead to more fear if this keeps going.

The first of two shootings connected to this incident was in Downtown by Sandbar. The robbery that started this car chase was on Montgomery and Grove.
