Hi All,

I am searching for an apartment for rent. I live in Edison,NJ currently.
I commute to Penn station, NY and then take the subway to 6th ave,42nd street. I find the commute very tiring also NJTransit trains break down every other day in winter.
I am looking for a 2 bedroom 1 or 2 bath home with a shorter door to door commute, clean house with a good neighborhood. With my price range around
1500-1600. I am willing to try out the bus option as well. What are my options.

Thanks

Check out Rutherford, Secaucus, North Arlington, Lyndhurst, and Kearny. Should find what you are looking for in your price range

EXACTLY what I was going to say Although, I'd leave Kearny off the list a little too close to Newark for me.

Thanks for the reply. I forgot to mention my husband works in Edison (Metropark). Are any of the above options close to edison ? Is there any place that can probably not be too far from edison as well?

Thanks

Kearny is fine. I lived there my whole life and still live there.

And to answer the OP's question, they are not very close to Edison.

Are there places with shorter commute to NYC and close to Edison? I am looking for something which will be a reasonable commute for me and him. He drives the car so he does not have to rely on public transport.
