What is the crime like on Parkinson Ave. @ Lily St. in Hamilton, NJ 08610? Is it a fairly safe neigborhood, or is it crime ridden?

Based on what I've read on several websites, the consesus is, (1) the further from Trenton the better, (2) stay away from the Hamilton/Trenton border, (3) stay North of Kuser and East of Quakerbridge Rd. Although the advice is helpful in general, it's hard to heed the advice since I'm not familiar with the street names & locations in Hamilton. Does Parkinson Ave. fit criteria (2) &/or (3)?

Which airport is more convenient to Hamilton, NJ? Philadelphia International or Newark International?

Is it easy to find parking at the Hamilton NJ Transit lot during off-peak hours?

Thanks

Have you actually seen the area and homes on Parkinson and Lily? I just did a satellite search and there are some storage garages on Lily; given a choice, I wouldn't live near that. I honestly don't know how bad (or good) that area is, but I know people that live closer to Arena Drive and the last time I was there (awhile ago), it looked pretty good and I felt safe.

Parkinson is South of Kuser, closer to the city of Trenton.

Is Parkinson and Lily your only options?

I thought Philadelphia airport was closer to Hamilton. But, when I googled it, Philadelphia is ~1 hr. 35 min. from Hamilton and Newark is ~1 hour from Hamilton. I think Philadelphia airport is easier to navigate, though.

It's not good at all back there. I wouldn't say it was crime-ridden as compared to some areas of Trenton, but Wilfred, Parkinson, and Berg Avenues are unstable. Much of the (legitimate) gang activity that goes on in Hamilton happens in that area. That area of Hamilton is called 'The Valley' and is pretty rough.

I left Hamilton 16 years ago. I wonder how bad it's gotten.

timneh5,
At the time of the posting, I saw the area online, but not in person. No, those aren't my only options. I was just curious about a specific property.

NJmmadude,
Thanks, that's exactly the kind of input I was looking for.
