I love going to the beach, regardless of the weather or time of year. However, I find that when I tell people from North Jersey that I go to the beach in December/January, they look at me like I have three heads. So I'm wondering, who else loves going to the beach in the off season?

Yesterday was a warm day compared to what we've been getting, so I went to Point Pleasant and had dinner with family last night. The beach is in some ways much better in the off season. The best is April-May, and Sept. But I go even in winter months, too.

Yes, I live here! My favorite season is off-season. I walk my dog on the beach (almost) every day, and it is such a blessing when we have it all to ourselves.

I completely agree with you (that's why I love the bay, it's so peaceful and quite, but it's still not like the ocean)

Yes, especially Atlantic City. I love the nightlife there.

100% agree. Mostly because I can take my dog to the beach off season

Nobody from North Jersey goes to the beach. We all go down the shore.
