Kings Supermarket has classes in the Short Hills store. You can also try the Institute for Culinary Education over in NYC they have recreational cooking classes. You can find both online

This is a cool place if you're into vegetarian cooking (the Natural Gourmet School in Chelsea in NYC).

I've done a number of cooking classes with GF etc. Aways had a great time...learn a few tricks, get to meet a real cross section of new people etc.
Meet a few single people trying to meet new partners as well. Not a bad idea in IMHO.

Most evening high school night schools and local community collages offer a number of choices..give them a call and they'll mail you class descriptions etc for the next quarter. Typically you pay a small fee plus the cost of the ingredients used. Usually held on a Monday night when the resturant would be typically closed.

Go for it...you'll have a great time....

joe

I know there is an actual cooking school in Hillsborough, NJ. 35-45 minutes for you from Essex County. Maybe they have another location near you.

There's always Classic Thyme in Westfield too.
