If your ever in Vaughn N.M. check out a Private Place called the Rock House they are always looking for Amateur Drummers or Amateur Musicians that can make Noise. Especially Girls. el pintada kid
Ive been looking for a drum cirle here in Alamo as well but have come up empty handed. Maybe we could start one ! ! ? Im interested in this idea very much. I have a djembe and have been playing for over three years. Ive been taking my drum into the 1st ave trail head and playing by myself up in the canyon area, and i have a great time doing so, but I would much rather be able to play with others. Please keep me in mind if any ideas come to the surface.
Thankyou sencerely- Bill.
It's strange that we are unable to find any circles around here. I'd rather play my drum with others also.

I'm good at making noise and raising energy with my drum. That's one of my purposes to be on this earth.
Any current drum circles or jam/improv folks in alamogordo? We used to have a djemba. Now bongos gatherin dust and an ocean drum...the beads inside give that rain stick sound when carried around.
I'm also interested in knowing; will you please share what you learn (if you intend to give MC a call)? If no, I'll call.
Don't know your musical parameters for jam, but if jazz included, there's at least one group that meets weekly in Alamo - the manager of the Flickinger Theater is a member of same.
Almost everyday in a parking lot a half block from my house. It is led by a xylophone, but there are usually a few djembes, a cajon player, and whatever else shows up, other percussion, flute, guitar, some weird stringed African instruments, but mostly drums.
This is in Albuquerque, though. In fact, I can hear them right now.
