Day of the Dead — City of Albuquerque

I'm sure there will be many events for "Day of the Dead" throughout New Mexico, very interesting stuff...

Weather permiting we will be going to the events: South Valley Dia de los Muertos Celebration and Marigold Parade.

If anyone doesn't know, Dias de los Muertos is a Mexican/New Mexican holiday in which loved ones who have passed on are remembered in a festive way. Parade starts at 4 at the Bernalillo Sheriff's Sub Station (Cento Familiar and Isleta) and ends at Westside Community Center, where there will be music and a display of altars (ofrendas) as well as food and art vendors. Event at Community Center goes until 8 p.m.

Luminaria Tour

Enjoy an annual New Mexican tradition without worrying about parking, driving through snow, annoying traffic delays or wasting gas. Let ABQ Ride take you through a twinkling wonderland in Old Town, a festively-adorned Albuquerque Country Club and other hot spots decked out for the holiday like the Los Altos neighborhood. Tickets go on sale at midnight on November 25th. Tickets maybe purchases online as well as at a designated ticket office downtown.

This year the Luminaria Tour will depart from the Albuquerque Convention Center. All tour goers are encouraged to use the parking structure located east of the Convention Center.

Bring the entire family to enjoy this ever-growing family tradition. Rain or shine we will be there. Come and join the fun!

Tours leave at 5:20pm, 5:45pm, 6:10pm, 6:50pm, 7:15pm, and 7:40pm.
