I'm fairly young and want to buy a multifamily property (ex: 4-plex) in a decent area...not ritzy, just relatively "safe" and clean. What areas are ideal to look? I don't want to be stuck in a mortgage somewhere that I'll hate. What does one think of economic opportunity in that area? If anyone is wanting to know why I'd choose, ABQ, I think the seasons are perfect and New Mexico in general is beautiful and if I had to pick, for me, my investment has to be in the Southwest.[Process of elimination: Pheonix is too congested, Flagstaff is too small and overpriced. Las Cruces isn't really my cup of tea, and that leaves Santa Fe ABQ area with its impressive urban sprawl, landscape, and unique culture]
