Our newest Geo-Thermal facility was featured in a prominent blog today.

Inhabitat has the scoop:

Anybody know more about this?

Luckily for us, the power's going to Arizona, and we don't get any of it.

We get to stick with good ol' coal and natural gas <cough>.

I was drilling for an outfit called Loffland Brothers back in 1972 when we drilled some exploratory geothermal stuff in the Jemez. Can't recall the names of the wells we drilled, but I do remember distinctly that they produced fluid that we couldn't handle with our standard gear. It was technologically feasible to generate electricity with it, but not economical at that time. Developing any type of energy in the Jemez will never happen now of course. We'll continue to send kids to the deserts of the mideast to die for oil rather than cut a tree here. <end sarcasim>
