Interesting poll -- so far a dead heat -- perfect reason that New Mexico is considered a battleground state.

While my beliefs are way more in line with Republicans than socialists, I just can't bring myself to pull the lever for McCain.

what a way to have any say. Regardless of who wins I hope you don't expect to do any complaining for 4 years. anyone who doesn't vote deserves what ever they get...Sorry, but there is no excuse for someone not voting....

i just want to congratulate the ppl that have responded to this poll. apparently, all who have participated so far are new mexican. in other polls, i've had others from the other states seriously dilute the results by participating even though i asked only for voters of one particular respective state. this one seems to be more accurate, matching the battleground polls that have been conducted.

Actually, not voting is saying something: that you don't like either candidate enough to vote for them. It seems likely that you'd like one even less than the other, though. It is sad that TX is a 'lost cause', although if things keep on getting worse, it may not be.

yes, it is saying exactly that, but not voting is also saying, I don't give a darn who wins or what happens. Many of us are not thrilled over the candidates, in fact probably the majority, but this isn't a reason not to vote. This is also true for those who say, my vote won't count because my candidate stands no chance in my state. Yes, Texas will go the way they have for years, AR will go the same direction as Texas. The same in Ca, they will continue to vote one way.

Several that have voted in this poll do not even live in NM. To bad they cannot follow directions.
