Nice shot! I love the area around Chaco. Tent rocks has a similar feel.

The Bisti Badlands is 37.8 miles South of Farmington, NM on the navajo reservation. In my opinion it has some fantastic geological formations called Hoodoo's. It has a lot coal seams running though it. There are many, many areas where you can see petrified tree stumps from when it used to be a tropical forest, and a lot of large petrified trees. There are a few Dinosaurs that were found there also. If you want a better description try the internet and look up Bisti Badlands.
I took the picture 2 years ago using a Canon 300d with kit lens.
I have a friend in Albuquerque that does photo tours of the area and I guide (assist) when needed.

Have a good New Year.

Hi, Gordon.

We're very interested in that photo tour and I've sent you a private message about it.

I have a Canon D400...
