I like to take my chile, cut it up, and eat it with..... well I guess just about everything.
But some how chile and chocolate together just does not seem right
I've always wanted to take my fresh habaneros dip them in melted chocolate, chill them and they give them out to the kids on Halloween. For some reason my wife won't let me do that. Come on now, the kids always say trick or treat, so I just want to trick them. I especially want to do it to the older kids that really should not be trick or treating.
The combination of Chile and Chocolate goes back to times before Europeans set foot on this continent. Xocoatl is a Nahuatl word meaning Bitter Water, as chocolate was consumed as a beverage and was reserved for the privileged and wealthy in Mexica (Aztec) and Maya cultures. It was flavored with many things, including chiles.

One of the great contributions to human civilization by Russia is a vodka called Pertsovka...flavored with red chiles. It is inspiring.
I'd mentioned this earlier, but I found it at Target in IA. There's a section in Target where they have imported chocolates...you should be able to find it there. This particular bar is made by the Swiss maker Lindt, and they seem to be on the shelf just about anywhere they sell imported chocolate, I think I've even seen it in a Walgreens store
I had brownies with jalapinos. Wasn't good! I did have a candy bar with some kind of hot pepper in it. It was a little different, can't say it was bad, but it wasn't somthing I had to have again.
