Could you be a little more specific? I grew up very near there.

I'm moving to NOLA in two weeks. Need to find a small house or large apt. allowing outdoor pet. I'm looking for current info, not historical data. What's the neighborhood like? Why do people in NO say don't live across the Bridge? Thanks

I'm trying to give you current info. If you mean the apartments near Behrman Highway, no, those are not very good.

It would be a small house on Farragut. My bigger question is why people in NO say stay away from the East side of the Bridge. Thanks.

it's generally considered a lower-prestige area. the east bank can be far more dangerous, however, and is far more expensive. as far as that particular location, I would look elsewhere. Try Algiers Point. and I misread your post; the area you are talking about is on the West, not East, bank.
