I think of a very middle class area, with shopping, chain restaurants, and everything centrally located. It's not the cleanest city and doesn't have a very good public school system. Otherwise it's a decent place to live imo. Obviously lived there by my name, born and raised.

I'm right over the Huey P from Metairie and its always very clean from my perspective. Maybe its because I currently live in Marrero, which is the pits.

Marrero may not be clean, but it is super laid back which is cool.
