There were a lot of bumper stickers during that election that read "Vote for the crook, it's important," referring to Gov. Edwards who was running against Duke. While he might have gottern most of HIS support from Metaire, that doesn't mean that most OF metaire supported him. I don't know anyone who supported Duke.

I was in Metairie 4 times for work in 2006...I don't know if this is still the case, but at that time, you could get $10 and hour at places like Burger King, McDonalds, Wendys and Target...
