I couldn't smell it this morning when I stepped out to smoke. I live really close to the river, and I can't smell a thing. ???

Just got back and I must say I'm glad that gas station smell is gone! My cats couldn't go outside this morning and are letting me know they are not happy.

Went over to the levee in Arabi and took pics. MissCookies, being in the Quarter you probably have buildings etc. between you and the levee which probably helped filter that smell, (lucky you ). I've just got a field and some trailers so the breeze traveled straight to the door, (see pic#3), not exactly a pretty view, but it will change once we're back in the house.

There I am driving down the road and saw this splochy egret, (at least I think it's an egret). I just happened to have the camera in the truck so we pulled over to see if it was mud or oil. We're pretty sure it was oil so I reported him the the Wildlife people. Poor little guy was a bit camera shy...
