What is entailed and how invasive are the home visits? Do they look inside closets, drawers? Do they ask you questions?

Thinking ahead but if you get in and get a dog, is there a process? Do you need to get prior approval to have one?

It depends on the building. Some complexes don't allow dogs at all.
